APR Programs

The University of Alabama Department of Advertising and Public Relations offers undergraduate and master's programs in advertising and public relations and participates in the doctoral program of the College of Communication. Undergraduate students can major in advertising or public relations.

Master's students can choose between a one-year program combining advertising and public relations or a two-year program specializing in advertising or public relations.

Doctoral students can develop programs in the areas of (1) theory, processes, and effects of mass communication, (2) political communication, (3) mass media and public opinion, (4) mass media history, (5) mass communication policy and law, or (6) communication and culture.
